Michael Hofstetler, through manipulation and subtle coercion, pressured me into signing a “BDSM ownership” contract—a one-year agreement binding me to him.
-
The contract prohibited any sexual activity with others and even banned masturbation unless he was present.
-
He claimed to be inexperienced with BDSM, yet insisted on the need for a full contract.
-
At the time, he convinced me it was standard in consensual BDSM relationships. But I now know this was not about kink—it was a form of spiritual and psychological entrapment. A soul contract of ownership disguised as BDSM. A tactic that mirrors those used by manipulative cult systems, like the Freemasons.
Soon after signing it, I began experiencing crushing fatigue—so extreme it felt like I was dying in slow motion. I missed a full week of work, barely able to get out of bed. When I could stand, I still fell behind on clinical notes, triggering withheld payments from the practice owner—thousands of dollars I was depending on to survive. In private practice, no sessions means no income.
I didn’t understand what was happening to me. I wondered if it was long-COVID or a relapse of some other illness.
Then the dreams began.
One night, I jolted awake to the sound of my fire alarm blaring. I ran to the kitchen and saw two stove burners glowing red-hot—turned on without explanation. Then I really woke up—this time to my daughters crying and the fire alarm actually going off. A dream within a dream.
From then on, the nightmares grew darker. I began seeing a faceless shadow figure standing at the foot of my bed, reflected in my vanity mirror. The silhouette resembled Baphomet—horned, unmoving, and watching. Just watching.
